Paprika is a red spice that is universal to many different dishes around the world. Its striking red color is hard to miss, and has been said to be an absolute miracle spice. Its uses go far and wide with its capabilities to obviously flavor a dish, dye cloth, and even decorate a dinner plate. In laboratory experiments, capsaicin relaxes blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure, according to research published in the August 2010 issue of “Cellular Metabolism.” It is also used in topical creams to relieve pain.  This vanilloid compound is a key helper in healing skin irritations, and has been said to take away burning and itching sensations your skin might feel. It also has the power to suppress prostate cancer cells, and can also help with dermatitis.
